Who doesn’t dig some lo-fi, grungy new tunes? If garage rock is your cup of tea, then the new split single from NYC crew High Waisted was made just for you. The two new tracks, titled “Free Throw” and “Firebomb,” are a step away from the band’s surf rock roots and showcase their fuzzy, reverb drenched guitar tunes.
The new singles represent a brand new sound for the rock ‘n’ roll group. Their sound is fuller, more robust while still holding on to pieces of their rock old roots. Lead singer Jessica Dye shows off some feminist confidence in “Firebomb,” which she hopes can encourage other ladies to express the same fearlessness.
