Watch Now: The Diamond Lights “Rome”

When in Rome, live as the Romans do. According to the U.K. duo The Diamond Lights, that means wandering an abandoned military facility that vastly resembles a post-apocalyptic landscape. In their new video “Rome,” the band creates a carefully layered survival aesthetic as they wander the deserted campus full of graffiti, broken glass, rusted fixtures, and crumbling walls. The vivid video also features an unexpected appearance from a nearby, curious fox.

It’s hard to tell whether the decaying scene in “Rome” speaks to the downfall of the Roman society, or just the modern-day crumbling before us. Either way, take a gander at “Rome” to decide for yourself. The band has also released an EP with mixes of the title track, which you can stream via their Bandcamp.
